Sixty Streak catches a Swedish Air Force SK 60 going straight up, the little jet in national blue and yellow seen from behind and below, two smoke trails ruled down the frame beneath it against a deep blue sky.

This is an original Marqforde photograph taken from the crowd line in July 2023 during the SK 60 display. A portrait print, because the climb and the smoke run the full height of the frame.

About the aircraft

The Saab 105 first flew in 1963 and has trained Swedish military pilots since the 1960s under the designation SK 60. It is a compact twin-jet with a shoulder-mounted wing and a cockpit arranged for side-by-side seating, which lets the instructor sit next to the student rather than behind.

Most of the fleet was re-engined with Williams FJ44 turbofans in the 1990s to keep the type flying into the 2020s, and the Swedish Air Force's display team, Team 60, flies the same aircraft in close formation.
