The Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse is the heavy fighter the Luftwaffe always wanted from the disappointing Me 210.
With a longer fuselage, refined wing and powerful Daimler-Benz DB 603A engines, the Hornet finally delivered what its predecessor could not: a genuinely capable twin-engine multi-role platform.
It served as fast bomber, reconnaissance aircraft, night intruder, and most notably as a bomber-destroyer armed with cannon heavy enough to bring down a B-17 with a single strike. Almost 1,200 were built before production ended in 1944, and surviving examples are vanishingly rare today, with the only complete original airframe held at the RAF Museum Cosford.
A piece for enthusiasts who follow the deeper end of WWII Luftwaffe aviation and recognise the engineering refinement behind one of Germany's most capable twin-engine designs.
NOTE: The exact placement of the design may vary from the images due to scaling for different t-shirt sizes and variations in the printing process.
